Personal Data We Collect
Weve Inc collects data to operate effectively and provide you the best experiences only within our product. You provide most of this data directly, such as when you create a Weve account, sign up for App Store or Google Play download link via text or email, invite contacts into the application, or to contact us for support. Collecting data that you explicitly provide is important, as it improves your experience in Weve. We will communicate the value you are receiving from the data before collecting it.
Contacts and Calendar Access: With your permission, Weve may access your contact list and calendar available on your mobile device, social networks and email accounts so that you can locate your friends and contacts on the Service and invite your friends and contacts to connect with our Service. We will store your contacts for purposes of alerting you when your contacts join Cue at a later time so that you may connect with them on the Service, to help schedule events for you and your contacts, and to suggest friends and connections to other members of Cue. Cue may also use the information collected from your contact list and your friends' contact lists to suggest new friends you may want to connect with on the Service. We make these recommendations based on your address book information as well as your friends' address book information and try to find common friendships or connections to introduce you to.
Location Services: We collect information about your location through Apple’s mobile location services in order to obtain your location for the purposes of providing our Service. Location Services allows Weve Inc to gather and use information based on the current location of your iPhone to provide a variety of location-based services. For example, we might use your location data and location search query to help you find nearby coffee shops or restaurants, or your device may set its time zone automatically based on your current location.
We use this information to operate, maintain, and provide to you the features and functionality of the Service, as well as to communicate directly with you, such as to send you email messages and push notifications, and permit you to communicate with others on the Service or on social media or invite others to join the Service. We may also send you Service-related emails or messages (e.g., account verification, updates to features of the Service, technical and security notices). How We Use Personal Data
Weve Inc uses the data we collect to operate our business and provide you the best experience, which includes using data to improve our recommendations and personalize your experiences. We also may use the data to communicate with you, for example, informing you about your account, security updates, and product information. And we use data to help show more relevant recommendations for you and your connections. We do not use what you say in email, chat, video calls or voice mail, or your documents, photos, or other personal files to target ads to you - as those are functions that are outside of the application. We receive different kinds of information from your device, like how you tap and scroll, which can help distinguish humans from bots and detect fraud, as well as ensure your experience is the best possible. We can use and share information for research, especially in ways that help us keep users safe within Weve. The plans you make in the system will also help us provide more useful recommendations to you with future events and activities. We provide recommendations without telling our partners who you are. We share your personal data with your consent or as necessary to complete any transaction or provide any product you have requested or authorized. We may also share data with affiliates and partners; as a necessary component to complete an intended user action; when required by law or to respond to legal process; to protect our customers; to protect lives; to maintain the security of our products; and to protect the rights or property of Weve Inc.
How to Access & Control Your Personal Data
You can view, edit, or delete your personal data within the Weve application. You can also make choices about Weve Inc's collection and use of your data. How you can access or control your personal data will be explicitly controlled by you from within the application and/or your device settings. You can choose whether you wish to receive promotional email, SMS messages, telephone calls, and postal mail from Weve Inc. You can also opt out of receiving messages from Weve Inc by unsubscribing from each channel.
Profile and Data Sharing Settings: You may update your profile information, such as your connected calendars and email addresses, and may change other preferences in your account’s Profile and Settings page. If you are having any issues, please contact us via www.weveapp.com/contact.
Access to your Device Information: You may control the app’s access to your device information through your “Settings” app on your device. For instance, you can withdraw permission for the app to access your address book, location, photo stream, and camera.
How to control your communications preferences: You can stop receiving promotional email communications from us by clicking on the “unsubscribe link” provided in such communications. We make every effort to promptly process all unsubscribe requests. You may not opt out of service-related communications (e.g., account verification, transactional communications, changes/updates to features of the Service, technical and security notices).
Modifying or deleting your information: If you have any questions about reviewing, modifying, or deleting your information, or if you want to remove your name or comments from our Service or publicly displayed content, you can contact adjust your preferences on your Settings page or contact us at www.weveapp.com/contact . We may not be able to modify or delete your information in all circumstances.
With a Weve account, you can sign into the Weve mobile application. Signing into your account enables overall use of the application, customization of your user profile, and direct communication between you and your contacts using Weve’s available features. We will not share your user personal profile information with third parties, nor will any third party require your Weve account information to access their proprietary account features.
